Just curious, are the hi-stall converters generally accepted as the best solution for high-horsepower street driving, or are they a quarter-mile mod that was adapted for the street? Of course, I can shift manually and hold the gears as long as I want. I know it's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's taking some getting used to.
